THEME OF THE CLASS

This workshop explores the surface designs in feltmaking used to illustrate the Sea States. We’ll work with unique dimensional surfaces, including shadow felting, sumi-e ink work, raised prefelts and forms, and cordwork. We’ll create highly refined, drapable textiles that are dramatic and visually engaging using layers of silk chiffon and small amounts of fine merino wools. Working with their choice of two to three sea state surfaces, participants will make a capelet, a beautiful canvas for design and a highly wearable three season fashion accessory.

Date: Sunday, February 26th, Monday, February 27th (duration two days)

Time: from 9.30 to 17.30, including lunch and coffee breaks.

Location: DHG, Via Panconi 15/17 – 59100 Prato

Max Number of Participants: 12.

Difficulty: beginners

Price per person: 295 EURO including 2 light lunches.

The course must be payed for in advance. Registration will not be considered complete until full payment is received.

If you are unable to attend, you will be reimbursed as follows:

• Within 1 month – 50%
• After this point, no reimbursement will be given unless DHG is able to sell the open space.

The materials required for the course are not included in the price of the course and will be sent to you via email once registration is complete.

The cost of food, lodging and transportation costs are at the complete expense of the client, as well as any other expenses that are not expressly declared as INCLUDED in the cost of the course.
