G999: our roots

G999 is the code within the Italian tax code that identifies those born in Prato

DHG could only have been born this way: in Prato, in the heart of one of the most important textile districts in the world, where for generations fibers, yarns, colors and creativity have been intertwined with craftsmanship and a continuous drive toward innovation. Here textiles is not just production, but collective memory, shared experience and the ability to transform matter into something new.

Prato is also the city that has made textile recovery a true industrial culture, always anticipating the concepts of circular economy and fiber regeneration. A tradition built on the value of reuse, transformation and continuous research, which still makes the Prato district an international benchmark in sustainable textiles.

A history
textiles starting in 1952

The REHAB project was born from the desire to reinterpret in a contemporary key one of the most authentic values of Prato’s textile tradition: the recovery of fibers and the regeneration of materials.

In Prato, textile recycling is not a recent trend, but an industrial culture developed over centuries thanks to the work of the “cenciaioli,” historical figures capable of transforming textile waste into new raw material. Even today, this vision represents one of the strongest symbols of the Prato district and its ability to create innovation from recovery.

With REHAB we wanted to take up this legacy and transform it into a creative and contemporary project: regenerated materials, new expressive possibilities and a more conscious production approach. Because we believe that sustainability is not just a production choice, but a way of thinking about textiles, deeply connected to our history and the territory we come from.
