Light Ciniglia interprets softness in a lighter and more contemporary key, transforming the classic velvety texture of chenille into a soft yet airy material. Its compact and uniform surface creates a deep and enveloping tactile effect, while the lightened construction allows the yarn to maintain volume without being heavy. The velvety texture, typical of chenille, is known to create extremely soft and dense surfaces while maintaining good durability and elegant aesthetic . In this “light” version, the yarn becomes more versatile and also suitable for everyday work, without losing its sensory identity.
Included in the Rehab selection, this yarn represents a conscious choice: it comes from the recovery of unused stock, which is given a new creative chance. It is a concrete example of circular economy applied to textiles, in which quality materials are enhanced instead of being dispersed.

Tips for working and care.

Our colors generally have high lightfastness and washfastness. Exceptions are fluorescent colors which have low lightfastness and may release color in the presence of alkaline or harsh soaps and with prolonged washing. The same applies to dark and bright colors. In all these cases it’s essential to test a small sample before starting the project, especially if these materials are combined with raw or light-colored fibers. In any case, it’s always good practice to dry finished items away from direct sunlight, preferably in shade.
A practical tip: Buying balls or spools of different baths can cause what is known as the barred effect: subtle variations in shade that seem invisible when comparing balls and spools, but become apparent once worked. Therefore, always be sure to buy some yarn in excess of what is needed for your project. We will be sure to send you spools and balls of the same lot.
